Carolina Sled Hockey made their way down to Tampa FL to represent the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2023 NHL Sled Classic this past weekend. Although the team did not bring home the title it was a fun-filled weekend with some hard-fought games. The team welcomed some new faces as well as some old faces from years past. And just like that the 23/24 Hockey Season is on!
#15 Sean Eberle made his Carolina Sled Hockey debut and wasted no time putting his talents on display by getting 3 assists on all 3 goals scored in a 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators. Sean also picked up player of the game honors in the first two games.
#8 Kai Howard got his first taste of action between the pipes getting time against Nashville and LA. His counterpart #26 Odell Lambeth was stellar in net turning away 35 of the 40 shots he faced over the weekend. Everyone hustled and gave it their all.
The team will be headed back to Florida in January for the first SESHL tournament of the 23/24 season in Orlando.
